This is China World Trade Centre (CWTC) occupying an area of 12 hectares (30 acres) with a total floor space of 370,000 square metres.

Located at Jianguomenwai, the China World Trade Centre is a huge business project which includes a 150-metre-high (40 storeys) office tower-the tallest in Beijing-clad in “golden” glass, a fan-shaped70-metre-high international exhibition hall, two 30-storey apartment blocks, a Chinese garden and an underground atrium that will connect with the city’s future subway network.

The project was designed by Robert Sober/Emery Roth and Sons of New York, USA, and Nikken Sekkei Ltd. of Japan.

The $ 300-million China World Trade Centre is a joint venture between the China Foreign Economic and Trade Consultancy and the Hong Kong Kerry Industrial Company Ltd. owned by the international financial group Kuok Brothers.

The whole complex was completed in 1988. China Travel Fair 92′ was held here.
