Along with Wangfujing once one of the cop shopping streets in Beijing. Extensively redeveloped, the street holds little of interest to the visitor as it is now occupied with characterless malls and international franchises. Around the Xidan crossroads (see the bike jams here during the rush hours), however, there are several wedding photo stores where newly-weds dress up to the nines in Western matrimonial splendor to take romantic portfolios.
