Olympic Sports Center Stadium, established in 1990, was once the stadium for the opening and closing ceremonies, athletics and football competitions of the 11th Beijing Asian Games. For the Beijing Olympic Games, the stadium has been renovated, expanding the floor area from 20,000 to 37,000 square meters, and the capacity of spectators from 18,000 to 40,000. During the Beijing Olympic Games, running and equestrian of modem pentathlon wilt be staged here.
