National Library of China
The National Library of China was opened in October 1987. Its total collection of more than 13 million volumes ranks it as the third largest in the world after the Library of Congress in the United States and the Bodleian Library in England.

National Gallery of China
One cannot help but notice the National Gallery of China, a large traditional-style building at the top of Wangfujing. This edifice was constructed in 1959 and is considered one of socialist China's 10 best architectural designs.
